Marcelo Bielsa is impressing in the Championship with Leeds United after that disastrous spell in Ligue 1 with LOSC Lille.

Leeds United fans are seeing the best of Marcelo Bielsa but, unfortunately for supporters of French giants Lille, they could not say the same.
The esteemed tactician arrived at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the summer of 2017 but only lasted until mid-December. Bielsa got the sack with Lille stuck in the relegation zone just one month after he earned plenty of flak for taking an unauthorised trip to Argentina.
And, speaking to RMC Sport, Lille chairman Gerard Lopez issued a warning about Bielsa that Leeds should perhaps do well to take note of.
“With very intense coaches like Bielsa, at a certain moment, there is a break (with the players),” said Lopez.
“We must always choose the team, the institution, rather than the manager.

“There are players who speak very little and suddenly need to say things. It’s a strong sign, when you have that, you know that the locker room is more or less lost.”
Thankfully, there have been no suggestions of any problems behind the scenes at Elland Road with the Leeds United team seemingly buying into the demands made by the famously forceful Bielsa.
But it remains to be seen how the players cope during a hectic fixture schedule with Bielsa’s high-intensity tactics often resulting in fatigue.
