Marseille’s Ligue 1 right-back Bouna Sarr is being linked with Claude Puel’s Premier League Leicester City in the January transfer window.

Midway through the 2018 January transfer window, Leicester City turned their attention to Bouna Sarr.
The Mail claimed that The Foxes had made a £2.5 million bid for the attack-minded Marseille right-back, though the Ligue 1 giants rejected the offer as they felt that the 26-year-old was worth far more in today’s market.
One year on, however, it seems that Leicester have renewed their interest in Sarr with the transfer window set to open again in just over a week.
L’Equipe have claimed on Friday that Marseille might be forced to sell a number of their key players in the January transfer window with the likes of Jordan Amavi, Morgan Sanson, Florian Thauvin and Maxime Lopez understood to be attracting interest.
And it is understood that Leicester are still interested in bringing Sarr to the King Power Stadium, though they are facing competition from Carlo Ancelotti’s Serie A powerhouses Napoli.

Sarr, who helped Marseille reach the final of the Europa League last season, has played 22 matches in all competitions in 2018/19, setting up two goals.
And his potential arrival could pave the way for Danny Simpson to depart. The 2016 Premier League champion will be a free agent at the end of this season.
