Premier League Leicester City hired Brendan Rodgers this week and they have been linked with signings including Celtic trio McGregor, Forrest and Tierney.

Leicester City legend Ian Wilson has backed Brendan Rodgers to be a big success at the King Power Stadium and believes he will be busy in the transfer market next summer, speaking to Herald Scotland.
Just two days after they brought an end to Claude Puel’s 16 months in charge, Leicester announced Rodgers as the Frenchman’s successor with the 47-year-old returning to the Premier League after winning seven trophies in less than three seasons at Celtic.
Wilson, played over 300 games for the Foxes between 1979 and 1987, thinks Rodgers is the right man for the job but thinks there are a few areas in Leicester’s squad that he will be keen to improve.
“I think he’s just what Leicester need right now. He’s a fantastic coach,” the 60-year-old said. “Money won’t be an issue and he’ll get all the backing he wants in the summer.
“Looking at the squad I think he will look to add a defender or two, and they could do with a battler in midfielder – they never really properly replaced N’Golo Kante.”

The Sun reported this week that Leicester will back Rodgers with a £200 million transfer war chest this summer with Bournemouth’s England international Callum Wilson, who has scored 10 goals in 21 Premier League games this season, emerging as a £40 million target.
The Times, meanwhile, reports that Rodgers wants to raid former club Celtic for midfielder Callum McGregor and winger James Forrest with left-back Kieran Tierney also on his radar.
