Lewie Coyle is on loan at League One side Fleetwood Town but does he have a future at Marcelo Bielsa’s Championship chasers Leeds United?

Another week, another new position for Lewie Coyle.
The Leeds United defender is enjoying another impressive season on loan at League One outfit Fleetwood Town, having won the club’s Players Player of the Year award at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
Coyle spent much of that season in his favoured right-back role under Uwe Rosler; himself a former Leeds boss.
But since Joey Barton took over at Highbury, kick-starting his managerial career, Coyle has been used in a wider variety of roles all over the pitch.
The former Manchester City and Newcastle midfielder has fielded Coyle at left-back and in central midfield of late, singing his praises as a result.
“We’ve seen Coyley play centre-mid and left-back, too. If you have that as a player, you are always valuable to the manager and the coaching staff,” Barton told the Blackpool Gazette.

And the 23-year-old had another role to get used to on Saturday. The Kingston-born defender lined up on the right of a three-man back line as Fleetwood beat Plymouth Argyle 2-0 in front of their own supporters in England’s third tier.
So you can add one more position to Coyle’s repertoire. Ahead of his return to Leeds, he is surely giving Marcelo Bielsa something to think about.
