Aston Villa and Norwich City are leading the chase for Fleetwood Town’s Amari’i Bell but Leeds United need a left-back too.
Garry Monk’s exit has thrown Leeds’ plans into disarray
Leeds United would have been hoping to spend the summer of 2017 preparing their squad for a return to the Premier League.
Instead, they are desperately on the lookout for a new manager following the sudden resignation of Garry Monk while aiming to keep their overachieving squad together ahead of a fifteenth consecutive season exiled from the promised land.
And the ongoing Charlie Taylor saga is not helping matters. The homegrown left-back appeared destined to leave with his contract expiring but Premier League suitors West Bromwich Albion are unwilling to pay a hefty compensation fee at a tribunal, as reported by Sky Sports.

Furthermore, Bradford City left-back James Meredith, who the Daily Star claimed that Leeds had identified as a replacement for the 23-year-old, has now signed a contract with newly-promoted Millwall.
Rings a Bell
As such, Leeds could do worse than to join the lengthening queue for Fleetwood Town star Amari’i Bell. According to the Blackpool Gazette, Aston Villa and Norwich City are the latest clubs to show an interest in the one-time Birmingham City prospect, valued at a bargain £1 million fee.

Fleetwood Town’s Amari’i Bell
Like Meredith, Bell has stood out in League One this season before falling in the play-offs, meaning a summer move is the only chance he has of playing Championship football next season.
Although the 23-year-old’s excellent performances at either end for The Cod Army suggest he is more than capable of making the step up.
A quick and combative attacker blessed with solid defensive abilities, Bell would surely be an excellent signing for whoever backs himself to take over at Elland Road.
