The race is on for one-time Derby County striker Aleksandar Prijovic with Leeds United allegedly keen to sign him from PAOK.

Aleksandar Prijovic has been tipped to move to the Championship this month. The question, however, is what club he will join.
As reported by SuperExpress Poland, league leaders Wolves have thrown themselves into the race to sign the PAOK centre-forward. But Leeds United have also been linked of late, Goal Cyprus stating that the Elland Road side are hot on his heels after he scored six goals in 13 games for the Greek side this season.
It is understood that Prijovic, a 27-year-old Serbian targetman, has a release clause of £8.8 million in his contract, but Mozzart Sport state that PAOK could be willing to listen to offers of just £4 million instead.

But will such a reduced fee see Derby County consider re-signing a player who has unfinished business at Pride Park? After all, Prijovic has tried his hand in England before, spending two years with the Rams between 2008 and 2010 before leaving for Swiss side Sion having failed to make a single appearance.
Derby handed Prijovic a two-year contract after he impressed on trial, hitting a hat-trick against Arsenal. But all his short-lived spell at Pride Park amounted to was forgettable loans at Yeovil Town and Northampton.

But after spells in Switzerland, Norway, Turkey and Poland, Prijovic appears to be finally fulfilling his potential in Greece. The 6ft 3ins striker would offer a real presence in attack for Leeds, who could do with one more striker in their ranks.
But do Derby even need him? With Sam Winnall, David Nugent and Matej Vydra all impressing at various times this season, and offering Gary Rowett plenty of options in attack, there are other areas of the squad more in need of reinforcement.
