Leeds United fans react to links with Blackburn Rovers’ Bradley Dack

League One promotion hopefulls Blackburn Rovers face a challenge holding onto Bradley Dack with Leeds United just one Championship side interested.

What Leeds United really need this month is the pace and unpredictability of a winger and the relentless finishing of a natural goal-scorer.

And it seemed that the Whites believed they could get both at Peterborough United. Director of Football Barry Fry told the Peterborough Telegraph that Leeds had made £2 million bids for Marcus Maddison and Jack Marriott, only for both to be turned down.

And, a month on, it appears unlikely that either will be arriving at Elland Road, especially not Marriott with the Sun claiming that Premier League duo Crystal Palace and West Ham have watched a striker now valued at £7 million.

So the Sun (22^nd January, page 50) suggests that Leeds are now looking to another League One club instead in order to strengthen their squad this month.

The report states that Leeds are among Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Cardiff City in watching Blackburn Rovers star Bradley Dack in recent weeks.

And while the former Gillingham favourite has 11 goals to his name this season, he is neither a winger nor a striker, instead another midfielder, and it is not immediately clear where he would fit into Thomas Christiansen’s first XI.

Dack is a player with real quality and someone capable of notching double figures from a deeper role. But, in the eyes of Leeds fans, he should not be the club’s primary target.
