Leeds United were left frustrated as Hull City held them to a goalless Championship draw at the KC Stadium on Tuesday night.

For the first time in three games, Leeds United avoided defeat and kept all 11 men on the pitch.
But that does not make a goalless draw with relegation threatened Hull City any less disappointing. Thomas Christiansen’s Whites failed to open up Nigel Adkins’ toothless Tigers, with Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Ezgjan Alioski missing big chances to take three points back to Elland Road.
However Leeds fans can take some positives from the performance of goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald.

The German shot-stopper has been under fire from a section of the support in recent months after a series of shaky displays between the sticks, but he produced his best display in a Leeds shirt at the KC Stadium on Tuesday night.
In truth, a number of superb reflex stops saved Leeds from a fourth straight defeat in all competitions that would have left them further adrift of the play-off positions.
And Wiedwald’s performance could hardly have been better timed. Andy Lonergan will move to Sunderland today with Arsenal-owned Getafe loanee Emiliano Martinez rumoured to be replacing him, as reported by AS.

So Wiedwald could have some new competition at Elland Road. But with the former Werder Bremen goalkeeper in this kind of form, he has got a firm grip on the number one jersey.
