Pawel Cibicki is back in the Championship with Leeds United after returning from a loan spell in Norway with Molde.

Marcelo Bielsa has shown since arriving at Elland Road in the summer that he is capable of turning average players into very good ones.

Mateusz Klich has gone from a forgotten man, loaned out by Thomas Christiansen in January, into one of the first-names on Leeds United’s team sheet and a regular source of often spectacular goals from midfield.

Kemar Roofe, meanwhile, is in the form of his life in a new-look centre-forward role, while Gaetano Berardi and Kalvin Phillips also look like players transformed under Bielsa.

So with Pawel Cibicki returning from a loan spell at Molde with the Norwegian season having come to an end, Leeds fans are understandably hopeful that the striker can embark upon a Klich-style resurgence in West Yorkshire.

Big things were expected of Cibicki when he arrived from Malmo for £1.5 million in the summer of 2017 (YEP) but he made just seven Championship appearances before being sent back to Scandinavia.

A tally of three goals in 13 games for Molde hardly inspires too much confidence but Cibicki showed during his brief time in the Leeds first-team that he has plenty of potential in the locker. There is clearly something for Bielsa to work with.
