Is Pontus Jansson on his way out of Elland Road? Fans of Championship giants Leeds United seem to think so.

If Pontus Jansson wants to erode his ‘fans favourite’ status, he is probably going the right way about it.
Not only has the Swedish centre-back been a shadow of last season’s brick-nutting best, he has now seemingly decided to come out in public and criticise the club’s treatment of his compatriot and close friend Pawel Cibicki.
The fellow Swede arrived at Leeds last summer from Molde with a big reputation but, after just seven goalless Championship appearances, has not been seen since he came on in the closing stages of a goalless draw with Hull City two months ago.

And Jansson is less than impressed.
“I think it’s pretty sick. We won 4-5 matches when (Cibicki) started and he did well, but later he did not play anymore,” the former Torino man said in quotes reported by Fotboll Skanalen.
“It’s the boring part of the football world with a lot of politics. I try to help Pawel every day and keep him in good mood.
“He did well when he played and he deserves more, but then I can understand the new coach who may not have seen Pawel so much.”

As Jansson has eluded too, Paul Heckingbottom has not played Cibicki once since he replaced Thomas Christiansen at the helm in February.
But Leeds fans believe there may be more to this public show of dissent than Jansson simply sticking up for a team-mate. The defender was heavily linked with a move away last summer – and supporters fear they might be seeing the last of him at Elland Road.
