Lewis Cook was superb as Bournemouth stunned Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, if only Leeds United hadn’t sold him.

Lewis Cook has not had too many opportunities at Bournemouth to show the talent that had some Leeds United fans tipping him for a starring role in future England sides.
The 20-year-old missed almost the entirety of his debut season with injury after that £6 million move from Elland Road in the summer of 2016, as reported by the Mail. But he is now starting to find his feet under Eddie Howe and saved his best performance in a Bournemouth shirt for a daunting trip to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

We can probably close the upset of the season poll. Chelsea 0-3 Bournemouth is not a scoreline anyone expected to see this week, especially with the Cherries struggling for form and goals throughout the season.
But the fact that Bournemouth pulled off arguably the greatest result in their history is thanks in part to a superb midfield performance by the instrumental Cook.
Up against Ross Barkley and Tiemoue Bakayoko, Cook dominated the centre of the park. Even the omnipresent N’Golo Kante looked somewhat human in the presence of the England Under-20 World Cup winning captain.

No wonder Leeds fans are feeling a little brittle this morning, after Cardiff City paid Bolton the same fee for Gary Madine that Bournemouth splashed out bringing Cook to the Vitality Stadium.
