Hadi Sacko has been a scapegoat among some Leeds United supporters but the fans had good things to say after the 2-2 draw with Bristol City.

For the second week in a row, Bristol City threw away a comfortable lead. Eight days after ‘Bristanbul’, when Sunderland turned around a three-goal deficit to snatch a draw at the Stadium of Light, Leeds United fought back to leave Lee Johnson’s side stunned again.

Late goals from Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Kemar Roofe earned Leeds a 2-2 draw at Elland Road, and it is no coincidence that the turnaround occurred once Hadi Sacko emerged from the Elland Road bench.

The French winger had only made ten substitute appearances all season under Thomas Christiansen but already appears to have won over new manager Paul Heckingbottom.

After a 15-minute cameo in last week’s 2-1 loss at Sheffield United, Sacko was handed half an hour against the Robins and produced one of his most effective performances in a Leeds shirt.

The former Sporting Lisbon prospect will never be the most consistent of players but his pace, directness and willingness to try, try and try again struck the fear of god into a Bristol City defence that, until then, had not really been stretched.

And while Sacko has plenty of detractors among the Leeds fan base, more displays like this will have supporters on his side and willing to give the speedy attacker a second chance to kick-start a Whites career that had looked all but over.
