Leeds United were linked with the Red Bull Salzburg forward in 2017 – and he could be the man capable of firing Marcelo Bielsa’s side to the Premier League.

Few had heard of Munas Dabbur when The Mail claimed that he was being watched by Leeds United in the autumn of 2017.
And while the Israel international has a long way to go before he can be legitimately called a household name, Dabbur is certainly a favourite amongst the football hipsters these days.
The 26-year-old scored 29 goals to fire Red Bull Salzburg to the Austrian Bundesliga title and the semi-finals of the Europa League last season and he has continued that remarkable form in the current campaign. In 30 games, Dabbur has hit the net 20 times.
And the fact that he is eyeing a move away from Salzburg this month will surely not go unnoticed.
I’m going to leave Salzburg in the next few days,” the former Maccabi Tel Aviv forward said in quotes reported by Estadio Deportivo.

The Spanish publication claims that Dabbur has interest from Valencia, Fulham and Liverpool but, with the legendary Marcelo Bielsa at the helm, Leeds could suddenly be capable of challenging for players that would previously have been out of their reach.
With Patrick Bamford’s injury issues ongoing and Tyler Roberts in-and-out of the team, a reliable goalscorer would certainly be welcomed by supporters worried about a lack of activity so far this month.
Perhaps now is the time for Leeds to renew their interest.
