Felix Wieldwald was a disaster at Elland Road and Championship underachievers Leeds United reportedly want to get rid.

If you told Leeds United fans that Felix Wiedlwald would be playing European football next season they would be entitled to laugh.
The German goalkeeper became a much-maligned figure very quickly at Elland Road on the back of his £500,000 move from Werder Bremen last summer. After a series of fumbles, drops and dreadfully defended set-pieces, Wieldwald ended the season arguably third choice behind the unproven youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell and the veteran Andy Lonergan.

It is understood that the 27-year-old is closing in on a return to the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt. And although Wiedwald is likely to be second-choice behind Danish international Frederik Ronnow, he might be about to hit the jackpot.
After all, Frankfurt are one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting up and coming teams right now. They won the DFB Pokal in May after a thrilling win against the often unbeatable Bayern Munich to secure a place in the Europa League, ending a five-year exile from continental football.

So, with Frankfurt aiming to impress on both fronts next season, there will be plenty of opportunities for rotation, meaning Wiedwald is unlikely to spend the entire campaign stuck on the bench praying for his chance.
From the Championship to Europe, Wiedwald probably cannot believe his luck.
