Patrick Bamford might not play a Championship game for four months, giving Tyler Roberts the chance to show why Leeds United signed him.

They say when one door closes, another opens.
So, with Patrick Bamford set for four months on the sidelines with cruciate ligament damage, what an opportunity this is for Tyler Roberts to finally make his mark at Leeds United.
The highly-rated forward sealed a shock £4 million move to Elland Road from West Brom on the final day of the January transfer window, according to the Mail, but has not been given much of a chance to prove himself so far.
Roberts is yet to make his Championship debut for the West Yorkshire giants. The 19-year-old’s only outings under Marcelo Bielsa have come in the Carabao Cup.

But the absence of Bamford could push Roberts up the pecking order, leaving him as the first back-up option behind the in-form Kemar Roofe for the foreseeable future.
And some Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to point out that this is Roberts’ chance to force his way into Bielsa’s plans. How he adapts, however, remains to be seen.
The teenager has only ever played regular senior football at a lower level, scoring five times in 17 games on loan at Walsall last season. Now, however, he must start to justify Leeds’ £4 million investment.
