Alfredo Morelos’s 23 goals for Glasgow Rangers must have caught the eye of Premier League clubs.

Lee McCulloch has warned Rangers to prepare for life without Alfredo Morelos as he fears the hot-headed goal-scorer will leave Ibrox in the summer, while speaking to the Evening Times.
The firebrand Colombian is enjoying a superb second season in Scottish football, scoring 23 goals in all competitions for Steven Gerrard’s side. And history tells us that teams north of the border struggle to hang onto their prize assets when clubs from England come calling.
Just look at Celtic and Brendan Rodgers.
Morelos admitted as recently as December that he dreams of playing Premier League football, as reported by the Daily Record. And, with so many top flight clubs lacking a prolific goal-scorer, it seems unlikely that Morelos’s form has gone unnoticed.
This perhaps explains why McCulloch has told his former club to plan for their star striker’s departure.
“The harsh truth is that it will be difficult for Rangers to hold on to Morelos in the summer. He is the top scorer in the country, and his profile is getting higher and higher with him now being a Colombian internationalist as well,” said the one-time Rangers captain.

“The reality is, clubs with deeper pockets will surely be looking at him, so it is important for Rangers to know that they have goals in the team when he’s not around, not only for this season, but beyond.”
For all of Morelos’s goal-scoring qualities, he has received plenty of criticism over his disciplinary record, having been sent off four times this season alone.
So this maybe explains why he has been absent from the gossip columns so far with clubs in China, Turkey and France, rather than England, linked with the former HJK Helsinki ace.
