Liverpool given hope in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak after the goalkeeper admits he does not know whether he will stay at the club.

Jan Oblak may have opened the door to an exit from current side Atletico Madrid this summer after the goalkeeper’s latest comments about his future.
Oblak has been strongly linked with Liverpool, as reported by the London Evening Standard, along with Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Now the Slovenia international seems very reluctant to commit to whether he will be at the Wanda Metropolitano next season amid speculation about his departure.

“It’s tough to discuss the future,” Oblak said.
“It’s not easy to talk about what’s going to happen tomorrow never mind what will happen next season, but I am calm and the situation depends on Atletico – nobody knows the future.
“There’s nothing new, there have been a lot of things said and written about a new contract but the only confirmed situation is that there is nothing new.
“I have a contract that I signed two years ago, but now I must wait to see what Atleti’s plan is.”

Mignolet out?
The Reds are said to be looking for new personnel in goal with Simon Mignolet linked with an exit from Anfield after falling behind Loris Karius in the pecking order.
Liverpool are enjoying a fine season but with a few more smart additions in the summer they could have a squad ready to challenge the all-conquering Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, while also continuing to make waves in Europe.
