Kundai Benyu has made one Scottish Premiership appearance for Celtic since arriving from Ipswich Town in 2017.

Celtic fans could be forgiven for forgetting all about Kundai Benyu.
Since he moved to Parkhead from Ipswich Town in 2017, the young midfielder has only made one appearance for the Scottish Premiership champions – and that lasted just 25 minutes.
Benyu has played no part in the current campaign since returning from a short and rather unsuccessful loan spell at Oldham Athletic, who were relegated from League One during his time south of the border.
But Benyu offered a reminder of his existence on Thursday when he was spotted in first-team training ahead of Celtic’s Europa League clash against RB Leipzig, as reported by the Daily Record.

The 20-year-old appeared to be in good spirits, too. So could he have received some promising news about his role at Celtic? Captain Scott Brown has struggled with injuries of late, but it remains to be seen if Benyu could take advantage and bring an end to his long run out of the Hoops team.
But with Youssouf Mulumbu having arrived in the summer and Nir Bitton back in action after nine months on the sidelines, Benyu faces a real challenge saving his Celtic career as it stands.
