Kris Boyd was a prolific goal-scorer at Ibrox and believes Rangers could be even better under Steven Gerrard.

Steven Gerrard might be in his first senior management role but he hardly seems like a rookie.
Rangers look a far more solid and well drilled side under the Liverpool legend, who arrived at Ibrox in the summer after Mark Warburton, Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty all failed to help the sleeping giants fulfil their massive potential.
Rangers have qualified for the Europa League proper for the first time since 2010/11 and have been largely impressive domestically, despite conceding last-minute equalisers against Aberdeen and Motherwell while losing away at Celtic.
So far, Gerrard has largely stuck with one striker in attack, with Kyle Lafferty sometimes playing in a wider role behind Alfredo Morelos.
But former Rangers hero Kris Boyd believes Rangers could be even better if Gerrard altered his tactical approach.
“I always feel as if a club like Rangers should have two strikers up front. They create so many chances,” the current Kilmarnock striker told the Evening Times.

“If everything is done properly in terms of the midfield, if the midfielders are willing to run beyond the strikers and create opportunities, then I think it can be successful.
“I think we saw at Motherwell that Lafferty and Morelos is a promising partnership.
“Kyle can come in off the left and come in off the right. Alfredo is prepared to drop into the holes and if the midfielders are prepared to get forward and get beyond them then it can work out well.”
Morelos initially looked promising under Gerrard but is now five games without a goal in all competitions. In fact, he has not found the net since Lafferty returned from Hearts in late August. So it remains to be seen whether the Colombian could adapt his game to start alongside another natural centre forward.
