Youssouf Mulumbu made just one Scottish Premiership appearance for Celtic under Brendan Rodgers.

If only Youssouf Mulumbu could roll back the clock.
On the final day of the 2018 summer transfer window, Mulumbu joined Celtic in what looked like the biggest move of his career. But, on year on, the veteran midfielder has been released by the Scottish champions and he won’t look back on his time in the famous green and white shirt with any fondness.
Mulumbu made just one league appearance for Celtic as his stock fell dramatically under Brendan Rodgers. And even Rodgers’ successor, Neil Lennon, wasn’t willing to give the 32-year-old a chance.
Mulumbu was released by Celtic over the weekend with his dream coming to a rather unfulfilling end.

And while Hoops fans won’t be losing too much sleep over his departure, Mulumbu’s sudden availability has not been overlooked by fans of another Scottish Premiership outfit.
The former West Brom and Norwich enforcer made a huge impact at Kilmarnock during an outstanding 2017/18 campaign at Rugby Park before returning to Ayrshire on loan six months ago.
And it’s fair to say that Mulumbu would be welcomed back at Killie with open arms.
