Anthony Gordon has committed his future to Premier League Everton despite links with Bundesliga duo Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Everton legend Kevin Sheedy has congratulated Anthony Gordon on Twitter after the youngster signed his first professional contract with Everton.
It was confirmed this week that the teenager had committed his future to the Goodison Park club, signing a deal until 2023 after some hugely impressive performances for David Unsworth’s U23 side, who are currently top of the Premier League 2 table.
This comes just a few months after the Mail reported that Everton risked losing one of their most promising talents, with Gordon attracting attention from Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
But Everton fans are thrilled to learn that Gordon is going nowhere with Sheedy, who played for the club between 1982 and 1992, among those tipping the 18-year-old for a bright future in the famous blue shirt.
The next test for the England U18 international is to force his way into Marco Silva’s first-team plans.
Jonjoe Kenny, Tom Davies and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have risen from the reserves to the starting XI in the last two years and Silva’s trust in youth should give Gordon confidence that he can follow in their footsteps.
