Cenk Tosun moved to the Premier League from Besiktas in January for £27million but he has not really proved himself in an Everton shirt.

Everton will have hoped that they had finally filled the void left by Romelu Lukaku when they paid £27 million for Cenk Tosun in the January transfer window.
The Turkish international arrived from Besiktas after firing the Istanbul giants to successive Super Lig titles. Tosun also scored four goals in six games in the 2017/18 Champions League group stage.
But this golden touch has been rarely seen in Everton colours. Tosun has scored just twice in ten Premier League appearances so far this season with Richarlison, who played as a winger at former club Watford, moved into a more central role.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, former Everton captain Kevin Ratcliffe has now expressed his doubts about the unconvincing Tosun.
“From what I’ve seen at the moment, I don’t think Cenk Tosun can be that main striker,” Ratcliffe said.

“I think there have been bit-parts where he’s done okay, but is he going to be that forward who can get us 20 goals or more a season? Maybe not.”
Ratcliffe encouraged Everton to scour the market for a centre-forward capable of turning narrow defeats, such as the 2-1 loss at Manchester United last weekend, in their favour.
Goal Brazil reported on Thursday that the one-time Brazilian wonder kid Gabriel Barbosa, who has scored 25 goals on loan at Santos from Inter Milan this season, is an option, with the Toffees having already made contact with his representative Kia Joorabchian.
