Scottish Premiership champions Celtic paid £2million to sign Ukrainian winger Maryan Shved from Karpaty Lviv in the January transfer window.

Karpaty Lviv have aimed to clear up the confusion surrounding Maryan Shved by posting a photo of the winger in training on Wednesday.
The highly rated winger joined Celtic for £2 million in the January transfer window after a superb 2018 in which he was named the Ukrainian League’s Player of the Year.
Shved then returned to Lviv for the remainder of the 2018/19 season and has continued to catch the eye, scoring a brilliant hat-trick last month in a 4-0 thrashing of Vorskla.
Worrying reports emerged this week however, with Shved apparently set to miss the rest of the season with a serious injury, as claimed by the Scottish Sun.
But it seems something might have been lost in translation. Reacting on Twitter, Karpaty have posted a photo of Shved looking full of life with the ball at his feet, claiming the 21-year-old will be free to play against Mariupol at the weekend.
Celtic fans were left a little baffled by the news that let another winger was set to arrive but Shved’s performances this season suggest that he’s a risk worth taking. He has scored 11 goals in 20 games for Lviv, a record of better than one-in-two.
