Scottish Premiership powerhouses Rangers reportedly wanted to sign Karlan Grant before he joined Championship strugglers Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield Town fans will be thanking their lucky stars that they have two players in the form of their life at either end of the pitch.
The Terriers are 23rd in the Championship and fearing successive relegations after picking up just one point from a possible 18 at the start of the new season. But just imagine how much worse things would be if it wasn’t for the cat-like reflexes of goalkeeper Kamil Grabara and the clinical finishing of striker Karlan Grant.
The latter has been consistently impressive since his £2 million move from Charlton Athletic in January, as reported by the Sun, and he continues to stand out in a struggling side. Despite Huddersfield’s chronic lack of creativity, Grant has fired home four goals in six games already this season after netting another four in the second half of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
To put things into perspective, Grant has averaged a goal every 2.4 shots this season – a remarkable record and a useful knack to have in a team where clear chances are like hens’ teeth. Yet, as long as Huddersfield continue to toil in the bottom three, the future of star performers like Grant will be called into question.

According to talkSPORT, Rangers were interested in signing the former England U19 international before he moved to Yorkshire eight months ago and an ability to find the net from anywhere inside the 18 yard box means he shouldn’t, and surely won’t, be forgotten about at Ibrox.
Jermain Defoe is 36 these days and Alfredo Morelos won’t stick around forever. Like it or not, The Gers will have to scour the market for a new centre-forward sooner rather than later and Grant’s form surely won’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed director of football Mark Allen, a man who prides himself upon spotting diamonds in the rough.
If Grant can score goals for fun in a toothless Huddersfield side, just imagine the damage he could do with James Tavernier, Borna Barisic, Scott Arfield and Ryan Kent providing the ammunition.
