Reports in Italy suggested Serie A champions Juventus were offering Dybala to Premier League chasers Liverpool in exchange for Mo Salah.

Juventus chief executive Fabio Paratici has spoken out on suggestions that the Serie A champions could offer Paulo Dybala as a makeweight in a deal to sign Mo Salah from Liverpool, speaking to Radio Anchi’o Sport (February 18, 9:00am),.

Tuttosport reported last week that Juventus were desperate to lure Egyptian superstar Salah back to Italy, where he starred for Fiorentina and Roma before his 2017 move to Anfield.

It was claimed that Max Allegri’s side were willing to offer £50 million plus Dybala, the Argentine superstar who is apparently one of the players who will fight to be the world’s very best after the era of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi comes to an end.

But, speaking to Radio Uno, Paratici has suggested that Dybala will not be on his way to Merseyside after all.

“Right now it’s just fantasy, we are still in February and we don’t know what will happen in June,” Paratici, who was named Sporting Director of the Year by the Globe Soccer Awards in January, said when asked whether Juve will offer Dybala for Salah.

“(Dybala) is 25, he is a player of Juventus and he has already proven a lot. I am sure he will become a legend and a leader of Juve, he has the technical skills to do it”.

Dybala has struggled for his best form this season, overshadowed by Ronaldo and with just three goals in 21 Serie A games to his name.

But the former Palermo wonderkid still has the potential to be one of Europe’s elite talents and it makes little sense to let him go, even if Salah would arrive in return.
