Liverpool reportedly want a new left-back to replace Alberto Moreno and Leicester City’s Premier League star Ben Chilwell is an option.

Jurgen Klopp didn’t exactly hide his admiration for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell ahead of Liverpool’s trip to the King Power Stadium in early September.
21-year-old Chillwell had established himself in the Foxes’ starting XI in the early weeks of the new campaign and was in top form as Klopp’s side travelled to the 2016 Premier League champions.
And, in quotes reported by The Mirror, the former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund manager lauded the newly capped England international.
“Chilwell (is a) massive player for them. Great future, looks a big talent, he’s a good player,” Klopp said.
Suddenly, those comments look increasingly interesting amid claims from The Mirror that Liverpool have identified Chilwell as a replacement for Alberto Moreno in 2019.

Moreno is out of contract and out of favour and expected to depart on a free come the end of the season. Chilwell could be a massive upgrade, although he’d face a difficult task forcing his way into the Liverpool starting XI ahead of Scotland captain Andy Robertson.
Klopp has shown in recent months that he is not willing to give up on his top targets, shunning potentially cheaper alternatives and biding his time before bringing both Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker to Anfield.
So if he wants Chilwell, Leicester fans could be in for a nervy couple of months.
