Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to sign Jamie Walker from Heart of Midlothian in the summer transfer window.

Heart of Midlothian interim manager Jon Daly has suggested to The Scottish Sun that Rangers target Jamie Walker could be sold in the summer transfer window.

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are interested in signing Walker from Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Gers have had as many as three bids rejected for the 24-year-old winger, who is claimed to be rated at £1 million by Hearts.

It would seem that until and unless the Ibrox outfit can muster up the £1m transfer fee for the former Scotland Under-21 international, they will not be able to secure his services this summer.

Daly could feature for Hearts against Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the match in Glasgow, Hearts interim manager Daly has suggested that a deal could still happen between the two clubs, but only if they receive the amount they want for the winger, who is one of the best and most talented in his position in the Scottish Premiership.

Daly told The Scottish Sun: “Could Ibrox bring out of the best in Jamie? Hopefully!

“It’s a situation where he’s playing against a club who are interested in him. To show them he is worth the valuation we have of him Jamie needs to perform.

“So we’re hopeful he will go out at Ibrox and put on the kind of performance he is more than capable of. The transfer window is still open and until something happens he remains our player.”

When asked if Walker’s situation had moved on, Daly said: “Not that I am aware of.

“There was a bid that was rejected due to it not being the sufficient amount we require, so the situation is still the same. It will remain the same until we get a bid of the required amount.”
