Ryan Bennett has been superb as Wolverhampton Wanderers make a fine start to life back in the Premier League.

Joleon Lescott is well placed to judge Ryan Bennett’s performances at Wolves.
The centre-back has been hugely impressive in the opening weeks of the 2018/19 Premier League season, starring in the number five shirt that Lescott made his own at Molineux between 2000 and 2005.
The likes of Diogo Jota, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves might have dominated the headlines but Bennett’s performances have not gone unnoticed by supporters, with Wolves now just three points adrift of the Champions League places.
Speaking to Bwin, Lescott has lauded the impact of Bennett, who was playing League Two football with Grimsby Town a decade ago.
“Ryan Bennett is a phenomenal success story, having come through the lower divisions. It’s a credit to Grimsby Town for recognising that talent after he was let go by Ipswich and it’s an example of what is possible for those playing in League One and League Two that there is a pathway to the Premier League,” Lescott said of Bennett, who moved to the Black Country from Norwich in 2017.

“Bennett has been performing well wherever he has been and he was always a Premier League player, even when he was in the Championship at Wolves. Hopefully, he will continue to be a rock for the club this season up against some of the best strikers in the world.”
The 28-year-old has started all seven Premier League games under Nuno Espirito Santo, forming a fine partnership alongside Connor Coady and Willy Boly with Wolves conceding just once in their last four matches.
