Scott Sinclair has shown signs of getting back to his best for Celtic, scoring in League Cup and Scottish Premiership wins against Hearts and Dundee.

Is Scott Sinclair getting back to his best?

It has been a frustrating year for the Celtic winger, who has found himself out of the starting XI more often than not as he struggled with form and tumbled down the pecking order.

But Sinclair has started to show signs of confidence and class again in recent games. He was hugely impressive in the Scottish League Cup semi-final win against Hearts, scoring in the 3-0 victory, and continued his recent resurgence with another goal in Wednesday’s 5-0 thrashing away at Dundee.

Writing in his column for the Evening Times, Celtic hero John Hartson has challenged Sinclair to add some consistency to his game. After all, this is the only way he can truly establish himself as a Hoops great like legendary striker Henrik Larsson.

“The truly great players, and Henrik Larsson was one for the club, show great consistency. Henrik was brilliant all the time,” Hartson said. “Not everyone can do that.”

“Scott would not have wanted to be known as a one-season wonder. All of us who were and are fortunate to play for this incredible club want to go down as a great Celtic player and to do that consistency is a must.”

Former Manchester City and Chelsea forward Sinclair enjoyed a dream debut season in Scottish football, scoring 25 goals in all competitions and winning the PFA Scotland Player’s Player of the Year.

That goal tally dropped to a still impressive 18 last season, however, and he hit his nadir in the opening weeks of 2018/19. But could these recent displays be a turning point?
