Mo Salah has not scored a Premier League goal since Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool thrashed Bournemouth at Anfield in early February.

Liverpool legend John Aldridge believes Jurgen Klopp should be worried as Mo Salah’s poor run of form continues, while speaking to the Irish Independent.

With two months remaining in the 2018/19 season, Liverpool are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and are well in the race to win the Premier League title for the first time, albeit with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City breathing down their neck.

And the Reds’ relentless success of late is even more impressive when you consider that talisman Salah looks a shadow of his former self.

The Egyptian superstar has scored just once in his last ten games in all competitions and missed a whole host of chances in Sunday’s narrow 2-1 win away at Fulham.

Aldridge believes that Klopp must find a way to get the best out of arguably his most gifted player before it is too late.

“Salah turned in one of his worst performances of the season at Fulham on Sunday and the alarm bells should now be ringing loudly for Klopp,” said Aldridge.

“His dip in form is now in danger of becoming much more than just a temporary blip.

“The Fulham defence had Salah in their pocket and every time he got the ball, he looked uncertain and possibly even nervous, which is not an emotion you associate with a player who was being talked about as a contender to be the best in the world not so long ago.”

Salah scored 44 goals in a remarkable debut season for Liverpool and he has another 20 to his name in 2018/19, although the last of those came in the 3-0 win against Bournemouth in early February.

Fortunately for Klopp and co, Sadio Mane has stepped up and cannot stop scoring with Salah looking a little off his game.
