Jason Holt has been hugely impressive in League One with Fleetwood Town, having joined from Glasgow Rangers last summer.

Rangers loanee Jason Holt could miss the rest of the season with a serious injury, Fleetwood Town manager Joey Barton has told Fleetwood Today.
The 26-year-old midfielder slipped down the pecking order at Ibrox once Steven Gerrard took over and brought Scott Arfield, Lassana Coulibaly and co to Glasgow. And, by the time the summer transfer window slammed shut, Holt had sealed a loan move to Fleetwood.
The former Hearts ace has been a big hit at Highbury, starting 29 League One games for The Cod Army. However, Saturday’s 1-0 win away at Accrington could be his final appearance for the North West outfit.
Holt was stretchered off in the 14th minute and Barton believes he is unlikely to feature in any of Fleetwood’s last seven League One games.
“It probably puts him out for the season,” said the former Rangers midfielder, adding that Holt has suffered ligament damage.

“He has been outstanding for us – a real team man, team player. I said in the dressing room at half-time, ‘Let’s make sure we get the three points for Jason.’
“Hopefully the scans come back good because he has been a credit to his profession.”
It remains to be seen which badge Holt will have on his chest when he makes his comeback.
Gerrard could do worse than have another look at him in pre-season but Rangers are hardly short of options in the centre of the park.
