Jurgen kKopp has yet another promising youngster on his hands, with Gomez back in action.
Liverpool defender Joe Gomez admitted on Twitter that he is relieved to put his injury hell behind him, after making his first appearance in 13 months.
The 19-year-old featured for the entirety of the second half in a behind closed doors friendly victory against Accrington Stanley, his first competitive match action at any level since Jurgen Klopp was appointed last October.

Gomez suffered a devastating anterior cruciate ligament injury in a comfortable win for England’s Under-21s against Kazakhstan after an impressive start to life at Anfield, culminating in a number of promising appearances at left-back under Brendan Rodgers.
And the former Charlton youngster is understandably thrilled to be on the way to a return, having emerged unscathed from a 5-0 victory in which Emre Can, Lucas and Loris Karius all enjoyed run-outs.
Gomez’s recovery could provide Klopp with much needed cover at left-back, although the versatile James Milner has filled in to great affect for the error-prone Alberto Moreno.

However, Gomez offers a more natural alternative in the back four and could allow Milner to return to his preferred central midfield role in the coming months.
