Jean Michel Seri is expected to leave relegated Premier League outfit Fulham with Serie A giants Napoli reportedly interested.

Napoli could offer Jean Michel Seri an escape from Craven Cottage this summer with Fulham’s relegation from the Premier League confirmed on Tuesday, as reported by Calciomercato.

And that is a move that might just help West Ham bring a new midfielder to the London Stadium.

Big things were expected of Seri and Fulham as a whole when the former Nice midfielder moved to West London in 2018 for a fee of £22 million.

And the Ivorian international, who was oh-so close to joining Barcelona just 12 months earlier, announced himself in style with a long-range rocket in a 4-2 thrashing of Burnley back in August.

However, Seri’s debut season soon turned sour and he became a passenger on a sinking Fulham ship. Scott Parker’s side sealed their return to the Championship with a 4-1 defeat at Watford this week and Football London reports that Seri has no interest in playing second tier football next season.

So a move to one of Italy’s best and biggest clubs would surely appeal.

Calciomercato claims that Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli are set to renew their interest in a player they tried to sign last summer with Marek Hamsik having left for China and Amadou Diawara also expected to depart.

Tuttomercatoweb claim that West Ham are keen on Diawara and Fulham letting Seri go could help the Hammers get their man.
