Declan Rice made his England debut against the Czech Republic after a fine season in the Premier League with West Ham United.

Jack Wilshere believes Declan Rice is set for stardom and has labelled his West Ham United teammate the best holding midfielder in the country, while speaking to the club’s official website.
Rice has enjoyed a rapid rise in recent months, going from West Ham’s youth ranks to the England national team in just two years.
The 20-year-old made his debut for the Three Lions on Friday, coming off the bench in the 5-0 thrashing of the Czech Republic as Gareth Southgate’s side started their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign in fine style.
Wilshere has been watching his affable compatriot at close quarters since joining the Hammers from Arsenal last summer and believes that Rice has now established himself as the best around.
“I’m really happy for him that he got some game time, because I believe he is the best player in his position in the country right now,” said Wilshere, who enjoyed a similarly meteoric rise to fame before suffering a series of injuries that have stalled his potential.
“He has done us proud, his family proud, and himself proud. I’m happy for him.”

Rice signed a new five-and-a-half year deal with West Ham back in December, seemingly cementing his future at both club and international level in the last few months.
The former Chelsea youngster famously decided to represent England at international level despite making three appearances for the Republic of Ireland.
