Everton will be looking for defensive reinforcements during the summer transfer window.

FC Basel’s Leo Lacroix and Manchester United’s Phil Jones have both been linked with a move to Goodison Park in the last week and there is now another new name in the frame.

According to Record, Everton joined Arsenal in sending scouts to watch Portuguese talent Diogo Leite in action as Porto’s U19s knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the UEFA Youth League.

Everton failed to sign Marcano in the closing stages of last summer’s transfer window but, one year on, should find it far easier to get their man provided they can see off interest from AC Milan.

But with both Marcano and Leite in demand, could Everton get two for the price of one from Porto this summer?
