Leicester City want Jack Grealish from Aston Villa – and they’d surely step up their pursuit if they lost Demarai Gray to Premier League rivals Spurs.

Reports in ESPN that Tottenham Hotspur are considering a new bid for Leicester City winger Demarai Gray this summer could send shivers down the spine of Aston Villa.
Spurs tried and failed to bring Gray to North London in 2017 but the report states that Mauricio Pochettino wants a young, promising attacker to boost his forward options – and Gray ticks a lot of boxes.
But what does this mean for Aston Villa?
Nothing good, potentially, with The Mirror claiming on Monday that Jack Grealish is a £20 million target for Leicester after arguably his best run of form in claret and blue.

Grealish has come on leaps and bounds this season, blossoming into a real matchwinner for Steve Bruce’s Villa as they secured a place in the end of season Championship play-off places.
It is understood that Aston Villa would have to cut costs if they fail to seal a return to the Premier League, however, and Grealish is one of the club’s most sellable assets.
But even if Aston Villa are promoted, they could face a real challenge holding onto the 22-year-old should Tottenham manage to snap up Gray at the second time of asking.

Grealish would be a natural replacement for the England U21 ace on the left of Leicester’s attack, and The Foxes would be in a position to possibly offer even more than £20 million considering that it would take a huge fee to take Gray, who signed a four-year deal in November, from the King Power Stadium.
If Aston Villa want to keep Grealish this summer, they may be hoping that Tottenham’s Demarai Gray pursuit hits a dead end again.
