Wolverhampton Wanderers never managed to bring Andre Silva to the Premier League but Raul Jimenez is flying under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Despite months of speculation, Andre Silva never ended up at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After a dreadful debut season with AC Milan, the Portugal number nine was expected to arrive at Molineux thanks to their links with super-agent Jorge Mendes. Tuttomercatoweb reported in August that Wolves were hot on his trail.
Just a few weeks later, however, Silva signed for Sevilla instead, ending Wolves’ hopes with a view to making the move permanent next year.
The former Porto star has since shown Wolves what they are missing, finding form with seven goals in eight La Liga starts. But they will not mind because they have Raul Jimenez.
The Mexican international has been far less prolific this season than Silva, scoring just two goals in eight Premier League starts since arriving on loan from Benfica. But perhaps the more pertinent statistic is his three assists.

Jimenez, after all, is the ultimate centre forward for a Wolves team whose attack relies on the speed and creativity of their full-backs and inverted wingers.
The former Atletico Madrid man is perfect for Wolves’ system, using his hold-up play to great effect and occupying defenders in a way the poacher Silva could not.
It was Jimenez’s intelligent through-ball which set up Matt Doherty’s winner against Crystal Palace on Saturday. And, to be honest, does it even matter who is scoring as long as the wins keep coming?
