Eboue Kouassi has played just one Scottish Premiership game this season with Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers continuing to leave him out.

Eboue Kouassi has just never really got going at Celtic since his £3 million move from Krasnodar in January 2017.
The Ivory Coast international arrived with a big reputation but has made just 11 Scottish Premiership appearances in a year-and-a-half with one of those coming this season. And it just so happens that this came in the 1-0 defeat to Hearts in August.
Speaking to the Scottish Sun after Eboue was omitted again in the 6-0 thrashing of St Johnstone on Sunday, manager Brendan Rodgers indicated that the 20-year-old has had little chance of forcing his way in thanks to the outstanding form of evergreen skipper Scott Brown.
Worryingly for Eboue, however, summer signing Youssouf Mulumbu stood out in Brown’s absence during the 3-1 Europa League defeat against Red Bull Salzburg last week. And, on Sunday, Callum McGregor excelled in a deeper role too in against St Johnstone while also getting his name on the score-sheet.

So the chances of Eboue revitalising his Celtic career now look slimmer than ever with Mulumbu and McGregor seemingly moving ahead of the youngster in the pecking order.
The Scottish Sun reported in June that Rodgers would be willing to loan out Eboue in order to get him game time. And with minutes still hard to come by, a temporary exit in January now makes more sense than ever.
