Rangers are reportedly keen to bring Craig Bryson to the Scottish Premiership from Championship play-off challengers Derby County.

Earlier in the January transfer window, the Daily Record claimed that Rangers were hoping to bring Craig Bryson back to Scotland from Derby County. But, with a week remaining before the end of the month, is a deal still on the cards?
It is well documented that Derby are hoping to slash their budget by getting rid of a number of fringe players, discarding George Thorne and Alex Pearce while Ikechi Anya is expected to go too.
Bryson, however, is no benchwarmer or Pride Park misfit. The 32-year-old has been one of the first names on Frank Lampard’s team-sheet, starting 18 Championship matches while providing energy and experience in the centre of the park.
And, speaking to the Derby Telegraph at the weekend, Lampard made it clear that Bryson is a big part of his plans going forward.
“I need Craig Bryson around and I need him fit,” said the former Chelsea ace.

Derby might be looking to raise funds but dependable, consistent performers like Bryson are priceless with The Rams set to go all-out for promotion over the next four months.
So with Bryson seemingly set to stay, this could perhaps explain why Rangers are trying to bring forward Glen Kamara’s move from Dundee according to TEAMtalk.
