The left-back will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Wolves are interested in signing Ipswich Town defender Luke Chambers in January, according to The Mirror, with his contract at Portman Road set to expire at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old, equally adept at left-back or centre-half, has represented The Tractor Boys since his 2012 arrival from Nottingham Forest and remains a key figure in their backline, starting each of the club’s 24 Championship fixtures this season.
However, with his contract running down, Chambers is free to leave Anglia in the summer though Wolves boss Paul Lambert is reportedly keen on signing him on the cheap in January, The Mirror reports.

And Chambers appears to be the ideal addition to Lambert’s side.
The former Blackburn boss has lamented the lack of experience in his backline on frequent occasions, with England Under-21 internationals Dominic Irofa and Kortney Hause struggling badly this season and loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson likely to return to Manchester United in January after falling out of favour.
Furthermore, 33-year-old Mike Williamson has not made a first-team appearance in over a year, meaning Wolves are severely lacking in proven, Championship defenders.

Therefore, Chambers appears to embody everything Wolves have needed in recent months, while his versatility would provide Lambert with much-needed options in the back four.
