Tottenham Hotspur reportedly scouted Ivan Perisic in Inter’s Serie A victory against Sampdoria but is the Croatia winger finally heading to the Premier League?

Speculation linking Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Ivan Perisic is not going anywhere.
Spurs were heavily linked with the Inter Milan winger last summer, FC Inter News reporting that they had entered talks with his agent back in May. And it seems that they are set to make a fresh approach one year on, despite the fact that the 30-year-old is hardly the most archetypal Daniel Levy signing.
Tuttomercatoweb claim that Tottenham scouted Perisic during Inter’s 2-1 win against Sampdoria on Sunday with the experienced Croatian international still on the radar of Mauricio Pochettino.
And should the deal come to fruition, the former Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund flyer would give Tottenham something very different.
Spurs’ attack is not short of pace with Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura bringing plenty of speed and directness to a side who were perhaps a little overly reliant on possession during Pochettino’s first few seasons in North London.

But Lucas and Son are not natural, old-school wingers like Perisic – who is something of a throwback in the modern game.
A left-footed, chalk-booted wide man who has made a career in sprinting down the flanks rather than cutting inside, the World Cup runner up could give Tottenham a genuine Plan B and the sort of attacking threat that so many of their Premier League rivals are lacking.
Whether Levy is willing to meet Inter’s demands for a player the wrong side of 30 remains to be seen.
