The Leicester City winger has been linked with a £12m move to Everton.

Ambition is the buzzword of the season at Everton. It’s the attribute that convinced Romelu Lukaku to remain at Goodison Park beyond last summer and, ironically, the major factor in the striker seeking a move away at the end of this season too, The Guardian reports.
Ronald Koeman was also convinced to swap stable Southampton for the side five places below in the Premier League table by the promise that Everton were putting in place a plan to shatter the glass ceiling and reach the Champions League for the first time since 2005.
Yet, despite being bankrolled by Iranian billionaire Farhad Moshiri and possessing the Premier League’s top scorer, that coveted fourth spot is still beyond The Toffees. Therefore, one would guess that they would be drawing up an ambitious list of transfer targets, players capable of making an immediate impression and dragging them to the next level.
Leicester City winger Demarai Gray, for all his potential, doesn’t exactly jump off the page. Especially when Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham, the teams Everton aim to overtake, are reportedly chasing Kylian Mbappe, James Rodriguez, Antoine Griezmann and Isco.
Yet, the Daily Mirror claims that Everton have identified Gray as a top summer target with the £12 million-rated winger unhappy at his lack of regular action at the King Power.

One of the liveliest attackers at Leicester’s disposal even before the sacking of Claudio Ranieri, Gray can certainly consider himself harshly done by after starting just six Premier League games all season. Yet, if Everton are to make the step up next season, can they really afford to target a player not trusted to begin games for a side mired in the lower reaches of the table for most of the season?
The 20-year-old has potential by the bucketload but you get the impression that Everton need ready-made stars.
Signing Gray will not be enough to convince Lukaku, potentially even Koeman, to commit their future to the club long-term.
