Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly made an offer for Jack Wilshere but he has swapped Arsenal for Premier League neighbours West Ham United instead.

Jack Wilshere has copped plenty of flak from some sections of the football supporting public for choosing West Ham United over a range of other Premier League clubs – including ambitious top flight newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wilshere might have played more games last season (38) than in any campaign since 2010/11 but his reputation appears to be at rock bottom. It is telling that none of the Premier League’s traditional ‘big hitters’ appeared to be interested, while he never really seemed to be in contention for a place in England’s World Cup squad either.

So a move to Wolves, an up and coming side with the ambition and the backing to make a real splash in the top flight, could have been exactly the move to revitalise Wilshere’s career.
At West Ham, however, the opinion seems to be that the 34-time England international has merely joined a club who seem to collect players on the decline – an opinion Wilshere will surely be using as motivation.
But it seems that, despite failing to fulfil his potential as the great hope of English football, Wilshere would have been welcome at Wolves.
