Premier League outfit Everton loaned Josh Bowler out to Championship hopefuls Hull City in the summer.

Josh Bowler has already caught the eye of Hull City fans in pre-season and manager Grant McCann believes there is a lot more to come from the highly-rated Everton loanee, speaking to the Hull Daily Mail.
Despite interest from Derby County, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday, Bowler headed to Humberside a few weeks ago aiming to make his mark in senior football for the first time (TEAMtalk).
The former QPR starlet, who joined Everton for £4.25 million (Sky Sports), shone as The Toffees won the Premier League 2 title next season and he appears to have already outgrown the rather sterile environment of reserve-team football.
Bowler opened his account for The Tigers with a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers at the weekend and McCann believes that Hull supporters have a lot to look forward to with the 20-year-old in the ranks.
“He’s going to be great for us. He can play off the left, off the right and as a nine. He’s exciting when he gets the ball,” McCann said.
“He’s a young boy with a lot to learn but what he’s got at the minute is that he plays on the edge. He gets at people and he’s not afraid to take a shot. I was pleased for him to get a goal.
“He’s ready for the Championship. That pace he’s got and that ability to drift past people and create things, he can play in the Championship no problem. That’s why he’s here.”

On paper, Bowler could be the finishing piece in one of the Championship’s most exciting attacks though Hull still face a challenge hanging onto star men Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki until the end of the transfer window.
The young forward certainly has the potential to force his way into Marco Silva’s first team plans in the near future but, once he returns to Goodison Park next summer, he’ll have just 12 months left on his contract.
So there’s a real make or break feel about this loan spell.
