Huddersfield Town are set to travel to Anfield on Friday as they attempt to ruin Liverpool’s Premier League dream.

Jonathan Hogg insists Virgil van Dijk has ‘everything you want’ in a central defender ahead of Huddersfield Town’s daunting Premier League clash against Liverpool on Friday night, in quotes reported by the Examiner.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have the chance to move two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table until Sunday at least when they host the already relegated Terriers at Anfield.
Liverpool are obviously the clear favourites to pick up three points against a side who have spent most of the season glued to the bottom of the table, even if they did struggle to a 1-0 win at the John Smith’s back in October.
In fact, few would give Jan Siewert’s team hope of even scoring a goal on Merseyside. They have hit the net just 20 times in 35 matches this season, so what chance do they have of finding a way past the irrepressible Virgil van Dijk?

“Van Dijk is one of the best centre-halves in the world,” former Watford midfielder Hogg said ahead of the game.
“His physical presence and ability on the ball, he’s everything you want in a centre half.”
The flying Dutchman is the runaway favourite to be named as the Premier League’s Player of the Year, establishing himself as a truly elite centre-back since he arrived from Anfield in January 2018 from Southampton for £75 million (The Guardian).
