AC Milan striker Andre Silva could leave Serie A for the Premier League with Huddersfield and Wolverhampton Wanderers linked.

If Andre Silva was to leave AC Milan for the Premier League this summer, the smart money was on a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Silva is represented by Jorge Mendes, the super-agent who works closely with Wolves’ Chinese owners. And the Sun (29 May, page 50) reported that the Championship winners were preparing a club-record £27 million bid to bring the Portuguese number nine to Molineux from the San Siro.

But, out of nowhere, Huddersfield Town have suddenly emerged as shock candidates to sign a striker who joined Milan from Porto a year ago for £33 million.

Just two years ago, Huddersfield were embarking upon another Championship campaign with one of the lowest budgets in the second tier. And a deal for Silva, just a few weeks after securing survival in their first ever Premier League campaign, would perhaps cap a stunning rise for one of the top flight’s more modest clubs.
It was understood that a Milan side who are under pressure from Financial Fair Play after missing out on the Champions League could be willing to sell Silva, who scored just one Serie A goal in 2017/18.
