Jurgen Klopp’s long-serving assistant Zeljko Buvac has left Premier League giants Liverpool in a shock move.

Zeljko Buvac has been Jurgen Klopp’s closest ally in football for 17 years.
The Bosnian has been the German’s number two since he first stepped foot into management with Mainz and has followed him ever since, through that magical spell at Borussia Dortmund and, eventually, to Liverpool in 2015.
But, just three days before the Champions League semi-final second leg against Roma, Anfield has been rocked by the news that Buvac – who Klopp calls the brain behind his success – has left the club for personal reasons.

And although Liverpool themselves have attempted to play down a reported row, stating that Buvac has stepped aside for personal reasons and his departure is only a temporary measure for now, the Guardian stated that the 56-year-old has cut a distant figure recently in matches and during first-team training.

So a tweet from the renowned German football expert Raphael Honigsten, explaining the relationship between two of football’s most passionate tacticians, makes for interesting reading.
Honigstein was the author of the 2017 book Klopp: Bring the Noise so clearly knows what he is talking about.
And it remains to be seen whether Klopp and Buvac will be side by side again in the Anfield dugout next season.
