Kemar Roofe certainly made his mark in Leeds United’s 4-1 Championship win against Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

Kemar Roofe has been criticised quite relentlessly by some sections of the Leeds United support, despite finishing last season as their top-scorer with 14 goals in all competitions.
But the £3 million man is on his way to shutting up the critics. Roofe produced arguably his best display in a Leeds shirt during the 4-1 thrashing of Frank Lampard’s Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
Roofe scored the first of a brace with a brilliant looping header before adding a stunning second, wriggling away from the Derby defence and lashing a fine finish into the roof of the net.
And Ian Holloway, speaking on Quest’s EFL programme on Saturday night, believes that Roofe could be a major beneficiary of the Marcelo Bielsa regime at Elland Road.
“He’s such a talented player and he can be a little bit in and out,” Holloway said. “The boy, under this fella’s guidance, could be sensational because he’ll go from a four one week to a nine the next to a seven or eight out of ten,” the former Queens Park Rangers boss said.

“(Bielsa) will fit him into that structure and the boy will flourish, there’s no doubt.”
Bielsa, who Holloway describes as a genius, has already demonstrated his knack of improving players at Elland Road, with Roofe thriving alongside the likes of Liam Cooper and Mateusz Klich.
