Jordan Rossiter has not featured for Scottish Premiership giants Rangers since August and his time at Ibrox might be coming to an end.

Is Jordan Rossiter’s time at Rangers coming to an end?

The former Liverpool youngster’s debut season at Ibrox was wrecked by injuries and, this time around, it has been much the same story. Rossiter, who is understood to be earning £10,000 a week, has not been seen since August and remains out of action.

This does not bode well, then, for the 20-year-old’s hopes of finally showing Rangers supporters what he is all about.

As reported by the Daily Record, Wigan Athletic were keen to offer the former England youth international an escape route in the January transfer window but Rangers decided to keep faith with a player whose signing looked a real coup when he joined from Anfield almost two years ago.

Since the January window slammed shut, however, the tigerish midfielder has not played a single minute of senior football and missed the reserve team clash with Livingston on Tuesday.

And when, or if, Rossiter does return to first-team duty, he will find Greg Docherty, Sean Goss, Jason Holt, Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans all ahead of him in the pecking order, while the versatile Ross McCrorie is also capable of playing in midfield.

So if Rossiter is already in last chance saloon, it appears that an opportunity to stake his claim could be passing him by with the injuries refusing to go away.

And it seems that Rangers supporters have lost faith once and for all.
