It seems that Fernando Llorente’s time at Premier League giants Spurs is coming to an end with Mauricio Pochettino clearly not a fan.

Fernando Llorente’s time at Tottenham Hotspur seems to be coming to an end and you can hardly blame him for eyeing an exit.

After all, the Spanish striker has started just one Premier League game since he arrived from Swansea City for £12 million in August 2017 and has played just nine minutes in the opening weeks of the current campaign.

He’s not been helped by the form of Harry Kane of course but Llorente just doesn’t appear to be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.

And, speaking to Mundo Deportivo, the former Juventus and Athletic Club target man has suggested that leaving North London would be the best possible solution.

“It is not easy. It is a daily struggle with yourself because it is hard to accept the situation you live in. When you’re left on the sidelines or you are not called upon it is frustrating,” said the 33-year-old, who has scored just one Premier League goal for Spurs.

“I would gladly rejoin Bilbao next summer. I will see what offers I have at the end of the season. I could continue in the Premier League, go back to Spain or return to Italy – where I was very happy.”

And it seems that his exit wouldn’t be too badly received by Spurs supporters. Llorente appears to be no real part of Tottenham’s plans right now and he will only fall further down the pecking order should the North London outfit sign a new striker either in January or next summer.
